What are the NLGI grades used for grease classification?
The NLGI (National Lubricating Grease Institute) grade refers to the penetration value, in tenths of millimetres.
A cone is placed for 5 seconds on the flattened grease surface which was worked at 25 ° C. Hardness or grade is represented by the NF T60-132 standard.
For more information: an ISO classification for grease has existed for several years. IGOL has invested and focused on sustainable development.
